Multi-Sensor Data Processor (MSDP)

The Saab Sensis Multi-Sensor Data Processor (MSDP) provides a best, all sources, terminal and surface traffic picture by fusing data from one or more surface movement radars, a multilateration system with integral Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) sensors, flight plan data and one or more Airport Surveillance Radars (ASRs). The MSDP provides the ability to select sensors on a “mix and match” basis without the need to modify hardware or software configuration items.

The MSDP is available in a dual, redundant configuration that features auto failover and synchronized track identifiers. All MSDP software runs on a Sun Microsystems® workstation running the Sun Solaris operating system. This is a proven, Unix based, real time operating system used in a wide range of air traffic control systems.
