SENSIS CORPORATION APPOINTS THOMAS UVA CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
New Position Supports Company’s Continued Growth
DEWITT, NY – May 17, 2006 – Sensis Corporation has appointed Thomas Uva chief information officer. In this newly created position, Uva is responsible for the company’s information technology strategy, deployment and management, systems applications and development; and IT infrastructure and protection.
“The CIO position ensures that as Sensis continues to grow, we have the information technology necessary to support the operations of a world class company,” said Jud Gostin, Sensis president and CEO. “Tom has successfully navigated the strategic and tactical challenges faced by rapidly growing global public companies.”
Uva is an adjunct professor at Syracuse University’s Center for Science & Technology in the School of Information Studies. Prior to Sensis Corporation, as senior director with Cendant Corporation, a leading travel and real estate services company, Uva had oversight and project intervention responsibilities for Cendant’s portfolio of capital IT initiatives which were distributed over 50 domestic and international brands and business units. Additionally, Uva’s tenure at Cendant, as well as his more than 18 years of IT experience in the financial services, electrical power and hospitality industries has afforded him significant merger and acquisition experience. Uva holds a bachelor of science degree in information systems and a master of business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
