SENSIS COMPLETES FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TESTING FOR THE FAA SAFE FLIGHT 21 PROGRAM / MEMPHISDEWITT, NY - August 27, 2000 - Sensis Corporation recently completed a major milestone in its contract to install a multilateration
system at Memphis Airport by completing on schedule Factory Acceptance Testing at its headquarters in upstate New York.
The Sensis multilateration system is a commercial-off the shelf (COTS) product that detects and tracks aircraft equipped with
Mode S, ATCRBS and Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) transponders. The system is part of the
FAA's Safe Flight 21 Program and is integrated into a Sensis Multi-Sensor Data Processor which will fuse ASDE-3 radar and multilateration data.
Memphis Airport is the primary hub for the cargo carrier Federal Express and an important hub for air carrier Northwest Airlines.
The data will be displayed at the Federal Express ramp tower as well as the FAA ATC Tower providing a near terminal and
surface surveillance picture for improved safety and capacity throughput for time critical cargo operations in all weather conditions.
